Ultimate Spider-Woman, also known as the Black Widow Clone, first appeared in Ultimate Spider-Man #98 (2006). She is a character from Marvel's Ultimate Universe, a reimagining of their classic characters in a modern setting.
She is a genetic clone of Peter Parker (Spider-Man), created by Doctor Octopus using genetic material from Peter's blood samples. She was initially created to serve as an assassin and agent for Doctor Octopus, programmed with skills similar to Black Widow.
Unlike other clones, she is biologically female, a result of Doctor Octopus's tampering with the cloning process. She eventually breaks free from Doctor Octopus's control and, seeking to define her own identity, adopts the name Jessica Drew. She has spider-like abilities comparable to Peter Parker, including wall-crawling, super strength, and agility, as well as the ability to generate bio-electric blasts, sometimes called "venom blasts," from her hands.
